Scholarships are free money to help pay for college!

Anyone planning on attending Nicolet College during the 2022-2023 academic year is encouraged to apply for a scholarship from the Nicolet College Foundation to help cover college costs.

“We’ve heard time and again from students how scholarships have been such a tremendous financial help for them to get the education they need to get ahead in life,” said Heather Schallock, Foundation executive director.

"Every year we award hundreds of scholarships. Our donors want Nicolet students to receive this money, but first students need to fill out the scholarship application, which is fairly easy to complete.”

The application period will run from Feb. 1 to Feb. 28 to cover costs from Fall Term 2022 through Summer Term 2023. The online application is available at nicoletcollege.academicworks.com.

Scholarships range from $250 to $2,500. The funds are available for both new and returning Nicolet students to help pay for tuition and books.

Both part-time and full-time students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to receive scholarships.

Scholarship recipient and University Transfer Liberal Arts student Emma Rose said she was grateful for the funds and happy with her decision to enroll at Nicolet.

“I transferred to Nicolet this past fall, and I can truly say it was one of the best decisions I made for my academic future,” said the 2020 Lakeland Union High School graduate.

“This college gave me the flexibility to continue at my job as well as go to school all without sacrificing classes with incredible professors and benefiting from a positive learning experience.”

Schallock noted that the scholarships are available only because of the generosity of Foundation donors.

“They truly believe in the value of a Nicolet College education,” she said. “They see how it can improve the lives of individuals and also benefit the communities in which graduates live and work.”
