A Labor Day picnic promises to be the perfect send-off of a long hot summer, but the small Kansas community is turned upside down when a charismatic drifter catches the eye of Madge Owens – the prettiest girl in town.  Blending strong drama with bright comedy, this eloquent Pulitzer Prize winner by William Inge explores the lives of 1950’s Midwesterners, from hopeful widows and an embittered spinster to idealistic teenagers and a restless wanderer. Auditions April 6 & 7.
