MEETING THE CHALLENGES OF AGING: PART 1
Wednesday, November 12
10 am
Nicolet College, Northwoods Center 207-209
Instructor: Christopher Koeppl, MD

Let’s face it – most of us are closer to the exit than the entrance and have already experienced some differences in what we can and cannot do, both physically and mentally. There are many ways we might respond to these losses: with denial, trepidation, sadness, or even anger. Surely, there are also more positive and constructive ways that we could approach aging – if only we had a better understanding of what to expect and how to adapt. With a greater awareness of our changing capabilities that come with age, we can learn strategies to manage these changes. In this session (which we hope will be the first of several guided by your input, and interests, dear members!), Dr. Chris Koeppl will introduce us to some of the physical, cognitive, and psychological aspects of aging. He will share what we can reasonably expect
as well as some strategies for coping with and accepting our changing lives.
