INTRODUCTION TO QIGONG

This presentation will include a brief history of Qigong and the many benefits of this practice. Simply put, Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice of meditation with synchronized movements and breathing. Qigong is beneficial to one’s health and improvement of balance, body strength, and energy. The movements are gentle and easy, and this practice can be done standing or sitting. These simple movements are easy, and the practice requires no special clothing or equipment.
Dottie Reeder began practicing Qigong in 1990. Since then, she has practiced and learned under a variety of instructors and through many workshops. She has taught Qigong practice for 15 years, which includes six years teaching for Nicolet College. She currently teaches in Eagle River, Rhinelander, Land O’ Lakes, and a weekly online class.
