INSECTS IN YOUR GARDEN
Wednesday, February 25
10:00 AM
Nicolet College, Northwoods Center 207-209
Instructor: Matt Kramer
Hybrid: In-person and Zoom

Matt Kramer will share his wealth of knowledge of which bugs are good to have in your garden and which ones are bad. Learn how to identify those insects as well as how
to encourage the good ones and discourage the bad ones. You can be more confident in having a healthy garden this season after learning about the insects that live amongst the plants.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Science from UWSP, majoring in Biology and minoring in Captive Wildlife Management. He worked in the UWSP Entomology Department for two years and was instrumental in developing the Collection Crawl event held at the university annually. He started his studies at Nicolet College and was Student of the Year in 2016. Matt is currently employed at Stoney Creek Home & Garden in Minocqua and is their bug expert. Previously, he worked as a zookeeper at Wildwood Wildlife Park Zoo & Safari and on staff at Hanson’s Garden Village. He has a deep love of bugs and gardening and is happy to be working among the plants again.
