Music is all around us, in many different styles. You can hear music just about everywhere, but how do you really listen to what you are hearing? Learn how to actively listen to music, whatever
genre you like. Give the music you hear your full attention, discover how to analyze what you are hearing and immerse yourself in the experience.
Marilyn Pekol is a retired music educator. After teaching instrumental music for 27 years, she became
a principal for five years until her retirement. She currently conducts the Rhinelander Area Community Band, volunteers as a host of Morning Classics on WXPR, acts as a co-chair of the LIR Curriculum Committee, and plays music professionally in a number of bands.
