Discovery Days: Early Childhood Education

Daily Activities Include:

  • Learn about teaching, psychology, and human services
  • Explore how young children grow, learn, and communicate
  • Rotate through hands-on lab experiences in a demonstration early childhood education classroom
  • Participate in realistic teaching scenarios and problem-solving challenges
  • Practice guiding children through play, routines, and learning experiences
  • Design a simple learning activity in a teacher role
  • Visit a local childcare facility

Registration opens March 1, 2026 with final registration due June 1. Please register early as class size is limited in each program.

Cost
Thanks to generous donations and community support, these summer programs are being offered this year at the special discounted rate of $20 per course. This support covers all course content, required materials, and lunch.
