Discovery Days: Culinary Arts
This high-energy culinary academy offers students a hands-on immersion into professional cooking and food service. From kitchen fundamentals and food safety to working in a real food truck and crafting wood-fired pizza, students will experience what it’s like to work in today’s culinary industry. Participants will develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and leadership while exploring exciting careers in culinary arts, hospitality, baking, and food entrepreneurship.
Daily Hands-on Activities Include:
- Learn safety, sanitation, and kitchen tools
- Plan and cook meals
- Work in a food truck
- Make pizza on a wood-fired grill
DRESS REQUIREMENT: Long pants, closed-toe shoes (gym shoes/no slip preferred)

Registration opens March 1, 2026 with final registration due June 1. Please register early as class size is limited in each program.
Cost
Thanks to generous donations and community support, these summer programs are being offered this year at the special discounted rate of $20 per course. This support covers all course content, required materials, and lunch.
