FROM PLANT TO PIGMENT:
MAKE YOUR OWN INK
Saturday, May 9 | 10 am — 3 pm | Fieldside Center 108
Instructors: Debra Ketchum Jircik and Jeanne Debbink
Cost: $55

Using dried dye plants from the Northwoods Community Garden, extractions of color will become pigments through a process of making a lake. You will learn how to prepare a lake, collect pigment, and transform it into ink. We will work with a few colors to experience a palette of possibilities. You will bring home one ink and a container of a lake in process to complete at home. As time permits, we will end with ink play.
