THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS: WHAT SECRETS CAN WE FIND?
Wednesday, May 6
1:00 PM
Nicolet College, Northwoods Center 207-209
Instructor: Michael Harvey
If there’s anyone who can make the Dead Sea Scrolls seem to come alive with intriguing insights, it’s Michael Harvey. His fascination with ancient archaeology has led him to conduct extensive research on the subject. He will begin with a review of the 1947 discovery of more than 900 Dead Sea Scrolls and then take a closer look at additional documents and discoveries that help lay the foundation for understanding the pillars of any civilization: rulers, religion, and military.
Michael Harvey is a retired Catholic deacon for the Diocese of Superior and a graduate of Nicolet College. He was ordained 33 years ago, and has actively studied ancient archaeology, learning from numerous scholars in both archaeology and historical literature.
