FOREST BATHING: A GUIDE TO SHINRIN-YOKU
Saturday, June 6
9 am — 1 pm
Northwoods Center 208
Instructor: Emilymae King
Cost: $35
Shinrin-yoku has proven de-stressing benefits that extend beyond simply making you feel more relaxed. Forest bathing improves immune function, reduces blood pressure, slashes stress hormones, activates the “rest and digest” arm of the nervous system, and improves mental health measures for conditions such as anxiety, depression, anger, and fatigue. This session is rooted in the subtle relationships, nature, and
community being essential for a joyful and sustainable life—to help you disconnect, destress, and discover the healing power of the forest. This session is entirely outdoors and a guided practice you can use to support your wellbeing.
Cancellations must be made five days before the initial class session to be eligible for a refund. Nicolet College reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, substitute instructors, or make any changes to classes as necessary. Age requirement for Community Education classes: Unless otherwise specified in the class description, children under 18 are allowed, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
