The iconic common loon, often seen and heard on lakes throughout the Northwoods, faces a number of life-threatening perils, many of them human-caused. What can you do if you notice a wounded, sick, or stranded loon? Call Loon Rescue, Inc. of course!
Linda and Kevin Grenzer of Tomahawk will explain how they rescue injured loons and transport them to wildlife rehabilitators, such as the Raptor Education Group in Antigo. Learn about the recurring threats loons face, how we can modify our behaviors to decrease those threats, and hear stories of successful rescues and returns back into the wild.
