New Digital Marketing and Field Service Technician Programs Open at Nicolet College

Nicolet College’s fall semester begins August 25, and students are enrolling in two new programs that will prepare them for in-demand careers.

Digital Marketing Promotions Technical Diploma

The digital marketing promotions program began as a nine-credit certificate program, and has been expanded to an 18-credit technical diploma program, which gives students more hands-on experience building essential digital marketing skills.

In the new program, students use real-life scenarios to learn digital marketing fundamentals, graphic design, social media, web design, advertising, and e-commerce.

Classes are completed entirely online at a flexible pace, meaning students with busy lives can learn in ways that fit their schedule.

Community service is part of the learning process, too. Students work with non-profits to complete meaningful marketing projects. Past projects have included working with Feed Our Rural Kids (FORK) to improve their online visibility and messaging.

Field Service Technician Technical Diploma and Scholarships

Nicolet College’s new 27-credit Field Service Technician program technical diploma prepares students for entry-level work as technicians for industrial equipment. Classes are a blend of in-person and online.

In the program, students learn to safely troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems for industrial equipment. Students also learn to communicate technical information, which Northwoods employers say is a critical skill for technicians.

Ten $500 scholarships are available for the first ten students to enroll in the program, to support this important workforce in Wisconsin. The scholarships were created through a generous donation to the Nicolet College Foundation from Adams, a business based in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, with additional locations in Madison, Green Bay, Wausau and Hazelhurst.

“For over 37 years, Adams has been committed to investing in the future of the trades and supporting the next generation of skilled technicians,” said Jesse Adams, president of Adams. “This scholarship reflects our dedication to building strong career pathways and helping students get the start they need in a high-demand, rewarding industry. We’re honored to partner with Nicolet College and proud to support the Field Service Technician program, knowing it plays a vital role in shaping the workforce of tomorrow. We’re excited for this partnership and look forward to helping Nicolet College students for years to come.”
