Fifteen art educators from across the Northwoods will showcase their artistic talents at Nicolet College’s art gallery from August 14 to September 27.
Sensational artwork will be displayed by an eclectic mix of prodigious artists who are all living and working in northern Wisconsin. This collection of passionate and dedicated individuals studied their discipline at various universities, honed their skills through years of practice, and are actively employing their talents and creativity to achieve their own artistic goals and self-expression, while also working tirelessly to enrich our community.
An opening event will be held in the gallery on Thursday, August 14 at 4-7 p.m. During the opening event, visitors can vote for an Audience Choice Award, and the winner will receive an art supply basket for their school.
The artists represent school districts including Arbor Vitae-Woodruff, Elcho, Lakeland Union, Laona, Mercer, Northland Pines, Rhinelander, Three Lakes, and Wabeno.
These artists are dedicated to providing quality art instruction to students as young as 4K and Kindergarten, through grade schools and middle schools, and in our area high schools. Mark your calendar to attend the opening where you can personally meet, interact with, and demonstrate gratitude to these impressive and creative individuals.
Come immerse yourself in the harmony and contrast generated by artworks crafted in an array of mediums including painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and others, and featuring a range of themes, subjects, and individual expression, reflecting the variety and diversity of this remarkable fusion of imaginative creators.
