Art Teacher in Antarctica at Nicolet College on Mar. 2

Photo: Breanne Kanak, a Northwoods artist, adventurer and teacher, will present a talk on her journey to Antarctica.

Northwoods artist, adventurer and teacher Breanne Kanak will share stories, photos and videos about her 10-day expedition in Antarctica at the Theatre at Nicolet College on March 2 at 6 p.m.  

Kanak’s talk will cover topics such as conservation, mindful eco-tourism, and the joys and challenges of teaching from one of Earth’s most remote places. Kanak is a K12 art teacher in Wabeno School District. 

Drink service and small bites at the Lakeside Lounge Bar begin at 5 p.m. There is no cost to attend.  

Artwork from Kanak’s expedition is on display at Nicolet College’s Lakeside Center until the event.
