Apply For Nicolet College Foundation Scholarships September 1 - 30

Category

The Nicolet College Foundation will accept scholarship applications from Sept. 1 to 30 for the upcoming Spring and Summer terms of 2022 at Nicolet.

The Foundation expects to award more than 100 scholarships ranging in value from $250 to $2,600, said Foundation Executive Director Heather Schallock.

“Scholarships are a great way to help students pay for college and we encourage anyone who plans to attend Nicolet next year to fill out the application,” Schallock said. “The application process is fairly straightforward and completing the general application automatically allows students to apply for most of our scholarships at once. The Nicolet College Foundation is here to assist students financially and scholarships can make a big difference in students’ lives as they work their way to graduation.”

University Transfer Liberal Arts student Mariah Weirick said she is highly appreciative of the scholarship she received.

“The financial burden of going to college was my biggest concern,” Weirick said. “Because of the scholarship I received from the Foundation, I was able to pursue the schooling I thought I would never be able to afford.”

All applications must be submitted online here. The application will be available starting Sept. 1.

Nicolet scholarships are available for both new and continuing students enrolling at the college for the upcoming Spring and Summer terms of 2022. Funds are applied directly to the cost of tuition and books. New students will need to have Nicolet College credentials to log into the scholarship system, which requires scholarship applicants to apply to Nicolet College first.

Both part-time and full-time students with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to receive scholarships.

Schallock noted that the scholarships are available only because of the generosity of Foundation donors.

“They truly believe in the value of a Nicolet College education,” she said. “They see how it can improve the lives of individuals and also benefit the communities in which graduates live and work.”

Students seeking assistance completing the scholarship application are invited to attend the Writing a Strong Scholarship Application Workshop from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8 in room 222 of the Lakeside Center. Participants are asked to register by emailing Chris Holewinski at cholewinski@nicoletcollege.edu or calling 715-365-4455.

All students attending the workshop will receive a free lunch.
