The long-time veteran of Nicolet productions, vocalist Tom Nelson returns for a musical performance all his own. First appearing on the Nicolet stage in 1971 at age 10, Tom has performed with the Three Tenors and the Northwoods Hymn Fest, and starred in more than a dozen stage musicals. He will gather some of his favorite musical guests to wrap up our 2019-2020 season.

A Labor Day picnic promises to be the perfect send-off of a long hot summer, but the small Kansas community is turned upside down when a charismatic drifter catches the eye of Madge Owens – the prettiest girl in town.  Blending strong drama with bright comedy, this eloquent Pulitzer Prize winner by William Inge explores the lives of 1950’s Midwesterners, from hopeful widows and an embittered spinster to idealistic teenagers and a restless wanderer.
