Food Manager Certification Exam

Course Description:

While it is highly encouraged that you take the refresher course prior to the examination, you may choose to take this course that includes the examination portion only. An approved 90-question ServSafe examination will be given in order to be eligible to apply for your Certified Food Manager License (valid for five years) from the Department of Health and Social Services.

Prior to the class date, students must read the required textbook: ServSafe Coursebook, 7th ed., 2017, updated with the 2013 FDA Food Code, published by the National Restaurant. A new book is approximately $111.50 and includes a scantron sheet for test purposes. If you already have access to a text book you must purchase the scantron sheet separately prior to class for approximately $42.20 Books and scantrons may be purchased at the Rhinelander Nicolet location or you may request that they be mailed to you via payment by credit card. Food Manager Sanitation Certification

Course Description:

Educate managers and employees in the foodservice industry on proper food safety procedures. The course fulfills the requirements of the Wisconsin Food Code and is intended for those taking the examination for the first time. A review of changes in the codes and regulations related to food safety and sanitation will be provided in this course. Procedures for food preparation, sanitary work habits, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles will be covered. It will be followed by an approved 90-question ServSafe examination in order to be eligible to apply for your Certified Food Manager License (valid for five years) from the Department of Health and Social Services. Participants will need to purchase a textbook and complete study assignments prior to the class session.
