With the game bird hunting season just around the corner, the Nicolet College Outdoor Adventure program is offering hunters the chance to dial in their aim at the Introduction to Sporting Clays class Saturday, Sept. 8.

The class will run from from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harshaw Sports Club, 10047 Rocky Run Road, Harshaw.

Instructors will share shooting tips and work with participants one-on-one and in small groups. The class will start with each individual shooting 25 clays on the Trap Range, where the clays fly straight away.

After that participants will move to the Sporting Clays course where instructors will take small groups through the 11-station, 50-clay course where the clays fly all different directions and at varying speeds.

Participants should have a semi-automatic, double-barrel, or pump shotgun and bring eye protection, ear plugs, and at least 75 shells to the start of class.

Youth 12 and older are invited to attend if they are chaperoned by a parent or legal guardian. Cost is $50.
