Kwik Trip exec to share Top Workplace strategies April 6
March 29, 2018
Being named a Top Workplace by the likes of Forbes and several other organizations doesn’t happen by accident.
Kwik Trip has that distinction.
Learn how the company accomplished that coveted feat when Kwik Trip executive John McHugh leads a presentation at Nicolet College’s Hire Up event from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 6, in the Nicolet Theatre in the Lakeside Center on the Rhinelander Campus.
“Much of the company’s success comes from the people they hire, how they train their employees, and the positive culture they create to retain quality workers,” said Sandy Bishop, Nicolet dean of Workforce and Economic Development, which is sponsoring the event.
Cost is $35 per person or $25 each when three or more people from the same organization register. The fee includes breakfast.
McHugh is the director of Corporate Communications, Leadership Development, and Training for the LaCrosse-based company with 18,000 employees in more than 500 stores.
McHugh’s presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with local employers who will share innovative employee recruitment and retention strategies that work for their businesses.
He joined Kwik Trip in 2004. He also sits on the boards of Friends of Wisconsin Public Television, Trust Point, National Mutual Benefit Society, Marywood Franciscan Spirituality Center and the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.
