Dental Hygiene grads post 100% licensure pass rate
June 28, 2018
The most recent graduating class of Nicolet College’s Dental Hygiene program posted a 100 percent pass on both a national and a regional exam required for licensure in Wisconsin.
“It was exciting for everyone when we heard all of the students had, once again, passed on their first attempt taking the exams,” said Nicolet Dental Hygiene Program Director and Instructor Erin Wozniak.
The small class of four students allowed each to receive a significant amount of one-on-one instruction, Wozniak explained.
“Because of this, we were able to get to know our students really well,” she said. “And to be honest, I really wasn’t that surprised when we heard the news. All of them were excellent students academically. They were very motivated and worked extremely hard to achieve these goals.”
The first exam students took was the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination, a written board exam. This was followed by the Central Regional Dental Testing Service exam, a hands-on clinical exam where students demonstrate specific skills on actual patients.
