Hire Up event Feb. 3 to focus on finding, hiring, and retaining quality employees
Jan. 10, 2017
Recruiting and retaining high quality employees is key for business success.
Few know that more than Ann Kerian, who has studied the current-day employment scene in the Northwoods with an eye towards the best strategies to find quality employees and then developing a work culture that retains these individuals.
Kerian will share her findings when she delivers the keynote address during Nicolet College’s Hire Up - Creative Solutions for Growing Your Workforce conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Northwoods Center on the Rhinelander Campus.
A former award-winning investigative broadcast journalist, Kerian is now a sought-after nationally-recognized speaker. During her presentation from 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. she’ll also discuss challenges of the workforce shortage and why out-of-the- box thinking is no longer an option - it is a necessity. Participants will learn new strategies to recruit for their company today and into the future.
The afternoon will feature three 45-minute break-out sessions. Topics will include Using Technology to Recruit and Retain Good Employees, Motivating Millennials, and People Don’t Leave Their Jobs, They Leave Their Bosses.
The day will conclude with networking and a wine and cheese reception from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Early bird registration is $49 until Jan. 16 and $59 after that date. Click here to register or call Nicolet at (715) 365-4544 to register. The registration fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and the wine and cheese reception.
