May 16, 2017
Hard work and perseverance will pay off for hundreds of students when Nicolet College holds its 48th annual spring graduation on Saturday, May 20.
In all, 540 individuals are expected to graduate from Nicolet with an associate’s degree, diploma, or certificate during the 2016-17 academic year.
“It’s a milestone in life for each and every one of these individuals,” said Nicolet College President Richard Nelson. “The skills these graduates possess are exactly what they will need to enter the workforce or to continue their education at four-year colleges and universities.”
Ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Nicolet College Theatre for those who have completed one or more of Nicolet’s 67 different academic programs.
If past graduates are any indicator, individuals receiving their diplomas this year will be glad they decided to attend Nicolet.
The college’s annual Graduate Follow-Up Report, which surveys students six months after they graduate, shows that between 99 percent and 93 percent of graduates in each of the past three years were satisfied or very satisfied with their Nicolet education.
During commencement ceremonies Saturday, University Transfer Liberal Arts student Colleen Egan will present the Student Reflection at the 9 a.m. ceremony and Business Management student Jason Giese at the 11 a.m. ceremony.
Nicolet Cosmetology Instructor Suzanne Sandmann and Business Management Instructor Ellen Mathein will give the Faculty Salutation at the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. ceremonies, respectively.
