Culinary students invite public to dine on lunches from around the world
Feb. 8, 2016
Nicolet College Culinary Arts students will broaden their talents by preparing a wide variety of specialty buffets and themed lunches at the student-run Top of the Hill restaurant, which is open to the public now through mid-May.
The lunches will take customers on a virtual world-wide epicurean tour with dishes from different regions in the U.S. and numerous foreign countries. International fare will include dishes from Thailand, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Holland, and Poland. Dishes from this continent will include a Valentine’s Day special as well as dishes from Hawaii.
The themed buffet lunches above will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $9.50 plus tax.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, meals will have a Healthy Choice theme. These will include the Mediterranean, Weight Watchers, High-Protein, and Gluten-Free diets, as well as Sustainable Seafood and Mega Super Food themes. Cost is $7.95 plus tax. A one-trip, to-go salad bar will also be available for $5 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday most weeks. The restaurant is located in the Northwoods Center on the Nicolet Campus one mile south of Rhinelander just off of Hwy. G.
Reservations can be made by calling the Culinary Arts Department between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday, at (715) 365-4466 or 1-800-544-3039, ext. 4466.
