Nicolet Foundation accepting online scholarship applications
Jan. 22, 2016
The Nicolet College Foundation will accept online scholarship applications Jan. 26 to Feb. 26 for the 2016-17 academic year at Nicolet.
The Foundation expects to award more than 250 scholarships ranging in value from $200 to $3,000, said Heather Schallock, Foundation executive director.
“We strongly encourage anyone planning on attending Nicolet next fall to apply for a scholarship,” Schallock said. “We know that paying for college is often a challenge for students and scholarships can go a long way in helping students meet that challenge.”
All applications must be submitted online. Starting Jan. 26, visit nicoletcollege.edu and enter “scholarships” in the search box to get to the online application. Applications must be completed by Friday, Feb. 26.
Nicolet scholarships are available for both new and continuing students enrolling at the college this coming fall. Scholarship funds are applied directly to tuition costs.
Students taking nine or more credits per semester can receive up to $3,000 in scholarships. Students taking three to eight credits per semester can receive a $400 part-time scholarship. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.
In addition to scholarships, the college recently launched the Nicolet Promise program to help qualifying 2016 high school graduates in the college’s district attend Nicolet tuition-fee.
Under the Nicolet Promise, the Nicolet Foundation will pick up the entire balance of tuition and fees that remain after state and federal grants and scholarships have been applied to students’ accounts.
The deadline to apply for the Nicolet Promise program is March 15.
