Foundation now accepting online scholarship applications

Feb. 16, 2015

Nicolet College Foundation is now accepting online scholarship applications from anyone looking to potentially receive funding for the 2015-16 academic year at Nicolet.

The Foundation expects to award more than 200 scholarships ranging in value from $400 to $3,000, said Heather Schallock, Foundation executive director.

“We strongly encourage anyone planning on attending Nicolet next fall to apply for a scholarship,” Schallock said. “We know that paying for college is often a challenge for students and scholarships can go a long way in helping students meet that challenge.”

Visit and search on scholarships to get to the online application. Paper applications are no longer available.

Completed applications must be submitted by Friday, March 6.

Nicolet scholarships are available for both new and continuing students enrolling at the college next fall. Scholarship funds are applied directly to tuition costs.

Students taking nine or more credits per semester can receive between $500 and $3,000 and students taking three to eight credits per semester can receive a $400 part-time scholarship. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.

The Foundation will also offer one-year, full-ride scholarships to select high school students through the Community Scholars program. The Foundation will offer one of the scholarships, which covers tuition and books, to each of the 11 K-12 districts within the Nicolet District.

To qualify, graduating seniors must have at least a 3.7 cumulative grade point average, maintain good behavior throughout high school, and have a letter of recommendation from the District Administrator.
