Nicolet College Welding Instructor Warren Krause was recently honored with the Special Recognition Award from the Wisconsin Technology Education Association for his contributions and service to technology education.

He was selected for the state-wide honor by being a key player in helping build Nicolet’s Welding program into “one of the premier Welding programs in the state,” according to Pat Lowery, Technical Education instructor at Wabeno High School, who nominated Krause.
Additional accomplishments cited in the nomination include working with area high schools to hold the annual High School Welding Competition at Nicolet and advancing the transcripted credit program where students earn college credits while still in high school.
