What does the club do? We make great food, eat great food, and prepare great food for others!
Club activities? We work with several community groups to help with a wide variety of events and activities, typically providing bake sale items for fundraisers. Groups we’ve worked with include Hospice, YMCA of the Northwoods, St. Mary’s Church Tomahawk, and the Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing.
What about Culinary competitions? We love going to competitions! Club members have been bringing home state-level medals for as long as anyone can remember. We also travel to national conventions just about every year and learn all kinds of cool things people are doing in different parts of the country.
What would someone be surprised to know about the club? How closely first-year and second-year students work together. There’s great comradery and a lot of friendships are made.
When was the club founded? We think it was 1971 when the Culinary program started at Nicolet.
