Criminal Justice students score high marks on exam

Nicolet College Criminal Justice students Ruth Rockafield, left, and Haley Schroepfer both recently scored high marks at a mock civil service exam competition at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.

CJ StudentsFor the second year in a row, Rockafield, of Rhinelander, captured first place and received a $100 prize. Schroepfer, of Antigo, earned third place.

About 60 students from across the state participated in the competition.

The mock exam helps students prepare for the official civil service exam, which they will have to take and pass in order to work for a law enforcement agency in Wisconsin, according to Phil Schmidt, Nicolet College Criminal Justice instructor.
