Art Tech Center
This building is located halfway down a hill, and has three floors, with the main entrance providing access to the second floor. The third floor houses faculty offices, the second floor classrooms, and the first floor the large auto tech lab and the large marine and outdoor power lab, as well as the vending machines. An elevator moves only between the first and second floor. Access to the third floor is by stairs only.
If a student with a physical disability needs to meet with an instructor on the third floor, the instructor will make arrangements to meet with the student in a private office on the second floor.
Ground Floor
The first floor has two entrances. The entrance facing the UTC Building provides access to stairs, the elevator, and the auto tech lab. There is no access to the ground level bathrooms from this entrance. The other entrance, facing uphill toward the Northwoods Center, provides access to the vending machines and the bathrooms, the auto tech lab and the marine/outdoor power lab, and stairs, but does not provide access to the elevator.
The walkway leading down the hill to this entrance is steep and is closed during the winter to everyone. Access to this entrance is gained by going around the entire building.
A unisex bathroom is located on the second floor, and individual men and women’s bathrooms are located on the first (ground level) floor. A suite of vending machines is available on the first floor, and a beverage vending machine is located on the second floor.Access to all individual offices and classrooms in this building should be good. The parking lot provides seven reserved parking spaces for students with disabilities.
