Program Description

The Architectural Technology Program focuses on the principles of residential design with an emphasis on sustainable building practices in both new and renovated structures. Sustainable design seeks to improve building performance, reduce negative impacts on the environment, and improve the health and comfort of building occupants. The basic objectives of sustainable design are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments. It is an integrated, holistic design approach that positively impacts all phases of a building's life-cycle.

 

Admission Requirements


1) Complete Nicolet College Admissions Application


2) Submit $30.00 non refundable application fee


3) Provide official copy of high school transcript or General Education Diploma (GED) High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)


4) If applicable, official copy of transcripts from any previous colleges, sent directly to Nicolet's Admissions Department


5) Complete ACCUPLACER Entrance Examination and College Readiness Survey

Writing 93
Numerical 85


*Students must meet or exceed the above scores to be considered "program ready." Any student not meeting the above scores will be required to remediate through Nicolet's Academic Success Center prior to program enrollment.
