Tobacco-Free Campus Initiative
Effective January 21, 2009, all Nicolet College campuses will tobacco-free. This initiative was brought forth by the Nicolet College Board.
Nicolet has joined other area businesses, healthcare providers, and educational institutions in promoting a tobacco-free environment. This change is designed to create a healthier environment for everyone who comes to Nicolet College to study, work, or visit.
Being a Tobacco-Free Campus will:
- Provide a healthier environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Assist students and staff in improving their own health.
- Enhance the health of the communities we serve.
Tobacco-Free Policy—Effective January 21, 2009
- Tobacco-Free Campus will prohibit use of all tobacco products.
- No tobacco usage will be allowed on premises or in College vehicles.
- There will be no smoking shelter or designated location for staff or students to use tobacco.
- Policy Enforcement will focus on positive reinforcement and be the responsibility of all staff. The goal is self enforcement.
