Learning in Retirement (LIR) is for anyone with a healthy sense of curiosity concerning the things and events in the world around them. Created for and directed by retired and semi-retired Northwoods residents, Learning in Retirement offers short-term learning experiences in a relaxed, informal and friendly environment. This is learning for the sheer pleasure of it! There are no grades, no tests, and no required attendance.

As an LIR member, you can help decide what subjects we'll explore. Just as important as its classes, LIR is also about friends - finding and meeting folks like you who share common interests.
