Learn the art of cultivating specialty mushrooms in this day-long workshop. The Wine Cap, Tree Oyster, Shiitake and the Japanese Forest mushroom have many fine culinary attributes; they are easy to grow and provide perennial crops for the grower’s enjoyment. Through the use of slides, visual aids, and hands on experience, class attendees will be well prepared to venture further into the world of mushroom cultivation. Attendees must bring their own log to get started.

Hills – what could be better than spending a mid-May afternoon among bloodroots, spring beauties, and trilliums? We will hike and explore a short segment of the Ice Age Trail at a very moderate pace, stopping frequently to enjoy what nature is willing to provide that day.
