Bookkeeping for Small Business

If you manage a small business, you know that accurate bookkeeping is essential. Learn the basics of bookkeeping including how to set up the books for a small business, as well as how to prepare payroll. Maintaining employee records, recording purchases and sales, as well as handling accounts payable and accounts receivable will also be introduced. Students will purchase a textbook and complete a minimal amount of homework with this course.

QuickBooks (Basics)

This workshop will help QuickBooks users who are just getting started, as well as those who want to learn to use additional features of the QuickBooks progr am. Learn to navigate through the QuickBooks software, as well as how to use the online help options. Make your bookkeeping manageable by learning to set up customers and vendors; record sales and sales tax; enter, pay bills, and write checks; record bank deposits, transfers, and reconciliations; create payroll checks; journal entries, and create basic QuickBooks reports. This is a hands-on workshop and no previous QuickBooks experience is required. Purchase the reference manual at the workshop.
