Facility Services

Environmental Management

  • Heating - As a rule, the heating season is from mid September through mid May. During normal hours of operation, interior temperatures are maintained at 68-72 degrees.

  • Air Conditioning - During the air conditioning season, from mid May to mid September, cooling is provided to maintain interior temperatures from 74-76 degrees during normal hours of operation.

  • Interim Seasons - Heating and cooling systems cannot be adjusted to accommodate rapidly changing outside temperatures. During the interim season, building occupants may experience some discomfort which the Facilities Department has no control over. Please be patient as heating and cooling systems are adjusted during these periods.

  • Ventilation Systems - Heating and cooling is distributed throughout the buildings when air is forced through the ventilation system. All ventilation systems have fresh-air intakes which have been set to conserve energy and optimize comfort.

  • Indoor Air Quality - Please report concerns about air quality, fumes, or unusual odors to the Facilities Department.

Housekeeping Services

Housekeeping services are provided by a private contractor. Questions or concerns about housekeeping should be directed to Corie Kettner at 365-4669.
