There are many ways to contribute to a community, but supporting local education is one of the most meaningful and far-reaching ways to make a difference.
For more than 36 years, the Nicolet College Foundation has worked to sustain and improve district communities by generating support for Nicolet Area Technical College. Giving to Nicolet is giving to your friends and family, to your EMTs and firefighters, to your trusted auto mechanic and nurse attendant. It's giving to future entrepreneurs, educators, and lawyers. It's investing in the local economy, and protecting and preserving our region's beautiful natural resources. Nicolet College's services go beyond the classroom; they touch all of us. Strong support from the Foundation helps make it all possible.
Nicolet attracts nearly half of area high school graduates, leading the sixteen state technical colleges. Student need for financial assistance is great: nearly 80% of students currently receive financial aid, and the current total unmet need is $5.2 million.
Support from the Nicolet College Foundation provides students with the academic and financial resources they need to make the most of their education, producing better-prepared and motivated graduates for the local workforce, and inspiring the gift giving tradition. Support can come in many forms, from scholarships and program funding to volunteering at local fundraising events. A History of Giving
Chartered by the State of Wisconsin on April 7, 1970, the Nicolet College Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization created to support the objectives of Nicolet Area Technical College and its mission to deliver "superior community college education that transforms lives and enriches communities." The Foundation has a strong history of supporting Nicolet students and district communities through the generous gifts of individuals, organizations, businesses, staff and alumni. In the past 10 years, the Nicolet College Foundation has awarded more than 1,150 scholarships to help students complete their degrees and certificate programs. Community-based scholarship fundraiser events provide direct financial support for students. The Foundation also generates funding for special projects, like the Burn Building facility for local firefighters, an addition to the campus daycare center, and the recent development of a sound proof, acoustically designed music lab, complete with keyboard desks, a sound system and projection screen, and a corresponding library listening area.
