Statewide tour aimed at recognizing and celebrating all who make technical colleges places of purpose in Wisconsin communities

Nicolet College is pleased to welcome Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) President Morna Foy to its campus to meet students, faculty, staff and board members. System President Foy plans to attend the Nicolet College Board of Trustees meeting on Feb. 20, 2024 and visit the Advanced Tribal Management class on Feb. 21, 2024.

This stop is part of Foy’s “Tour of Excellence,” which includes a visit to each of the state’s WTCS campuses. The goal of the tour is to recognize and celebrate the technical college students, staff, instructors, alumni and business partners who make each campus unique places of purpose in their communities.

“Nicolet College is honored to host President Morna Foy. Her visit not only highlights the dedication of our students and staff, but it also underscores the significant role our College plays in strengthening northern Wisconsin,” said Nicolet College president Kate Ferrel. “Empowering our students to achieve their goals makes our entire Northwoods community even stronger,” added Ferrel.

Each campus visit on the tour will showcase the unique contributions of the talented individuals who call that campus home. The visits will also honor the connections each campus has to the industries and employers in their regions; connections that directly ensure the vitality of Wisconsin communities in every corner of the state.

“For over 110 years, everyday Wisconsinites have come through our doors with their unique, vibrant life experiences. They’ve trusted us with their goals for their lives, families and communities,” said Foy. “We are incredibly grateful and want to celebrate all of the students, staff and faculty at each of our colleges.”

“There is no doubt in my mind that our campuses are stronger and better because of the knowledge and experience of each student and staff member,” said Foy.
